Hi Tanner - the reason why our team lists basic economy as the lowest fare is for two reasons. First, it's because the two fares (basic economy & main cabin) are tied together in price. If basic economy drops in price, generally so does main cabin. So if you see a low basic economy price listed in a flight alert, you can assume the main cabin price is also low. Second, there is no easy way to search for a main cabin fare via Google Flights or other tools. While you can of course search directly via the airlines website, this would make the booking process challenging and time consuming. I hear you concerns, I don't like to book basic economy either, but rest assured that if you see a cheap basic economy flight in a Premium alert, that also means the main cabin pricing is also low.
